Hello! My name is George, and I’m thrilled to have you here. This website is the culmination of a lifelong passion for watches—a journey that started when I was just a child and continues to grow with each passing year.
My Background
By profession, I work as a marketer, but at the same time I was always drawn to the intricate world of watches. From a very young age, I found myself captivated by these tiny marvels of engineering. I received my very first watch; it was a Casio CMD-10 which had a TV remote control built in and I had way too much fun with it. Then a couple more Casios followed (CA-53W-1ER the calculator and a GShock that I can’t remember the reference of) and I was hooked. Back then, it was simply about the allure of timepieces—their design, their mechanics, and the way they made me feel, I had no idea what a watch collector or watch enthusiast is.
As I grew older, my passion for watches only intensified. I have to admit I went through periods when my interest waned and other periods when my passion grew but I always owned a few watches and was always drawn to them. My collection has evolved slowly and steadily over the years, reflecting my changing tastes and growing knowledge and it is still changing every day and I am sure it will continue to change as I grow older and my tastes evolve.
To this day I’ve bought, sold, and traded numerous watches along the way, each one telling a unique story and teaching me something new about this fascinating hobby.
Why I Started This Website
The idea behind Watch Reviews by George is simple: to share my love for watches with others who share the same passion. I created this site to review as many watches as I can get my hands on, providing valuable insights and honest opinions to help fellow enthusiasts and potential buyers make informed decisions.
My goal is to be a trusted resource for you. I understand how overwhelming it can be to choose the right watch, especially if you are just a beginner and just discovered the fascinating world of watches and want to start building your collection or just buy your one and done watches. There’s simply way too many options out there.
That’s why I strive to offer content that is not only informative but also engaging and accessible to watch lovers at all levels.
